Andrew gets a new hobby; Pennyboarding

Andrew got a pennyboard, and he is loving it! He wanted to see a movie made because he was so excited about it. He hopes to attain more skateboards, and likes to go to the skate park and skate on it.

Geocaching With My Family

Recently, I have discovered a new, fun hobby, geocaching. With the warm weather, I decided to get the kids out and about to try this geocaching thing out. It was really fun, and the kids really enjoyed it.

Salt Lake Comic Con 2014

Jamie, Sydney and Sloane went to Salt Lake Comic Con: Fan Xperience. They had a great time (specifically Sydney) and visited with Aunt Bethia, Olivia and Uncle Jeremy. They took pictures with many nerdy cosplaying people, and Sydney even cosplayed. It was an overall great time and everyone was happy and excited to see each other.

The Wedding: Jordan and Stormie Tuck

Jamie went to Jordan (her nephew)'s wedding this week. He married Stormie Schauers. While Jamie was there, she got to visit with family and had a good time.

Gilbert Temple Open House

This weekend, we went to the Gilbert Temple Open House. Andrew was sick, so Scott stayed with him at home. So, only Jamie, Sydney and Sloane went. The temple was beautiful and you could feel the spirit so strongly there. Here are a few pictures from it.

Winter Break 2013

We had a very fun winter break. I (Sloane) made a video, as I usually do. We didn't do much of anything, except for what's on the video. Tiffany and Shawn came down, and we all enjoyed the company of them. We all had a very relaxing Christmas break!

Soccer

Soccer ended last week. It was a great season. Sloane's team only losing 1 game, and Andrew's losing 2. Sloane was out of the game for about half the season because she got a concussion!

Happy 9th birthday, Andrew!

Andrew turned 9 today! He got Plants vs Zombies action figures and 3 remote control cars. Jamie made him a Minecraft cake, which Andrew loved! He had his friends come over for cake and ice cream. Mimi and Papa came over to celebrate with us.

Fishing with Andrew.

Andrew and I did a little fishing at the Silver Creek Fish Hatchery.  The first fish was caught with a fly, and the next 2 were caught with worms.  Sadly, yours truly did not catch a single fish, but Andrew let me cook and eat his fish. Andrew is becoming a good little fisherman!

Tipton Family Beach Trip 2013

We had a very fun time at Newport Beach this year. Andrew bought 2 pool toys and used them as boogie boards in the water. Sloane had an awesome time surfing with her dad, Scott (even though she had to wake up really early!). Sydney had a good time out in the water. We can't wait for next year when we go again.

Family Home Evening Hike

We went on a 3-4 mile hike Monday for FHE. We had a fun time "bonding". Scott, Sloane and Andrew tested out their backpacks, stove, meals and hammocks for the upcoming manly hike. We brought the dogs, and everyone had a fun time.

2013 Tipton Manly hike

We had a very fun time at Fossil Creek this year. We hiked somewhere around 10 miles! WOW!!! The kids had a blast jumping off of rocks and logs, swimming in the warm water, exploring, and sleeping in hammocks. We got very sunburned, scraped, bruised, and mosquito bit, but it was worth it.

Sydney Graduates!

Sydney graduates! G-ma and G-pa came all the way from California to watch. After the graduation, we headed to Denny's to celebrate. Sydney had a very fun night!

Graduation: part 1

Sloane got braces

Sloane got braces!!! Although they hurt, it is a small price to pay for beautiful teeth! :)

2012 Party!

On December 21 (the end of the world!), we had a party. We made tinfoil hats, watched the movie 2012, and had TEOTWAWKI food. Sloane invited her friend Rachel over.

Soccer 2012

This soccer season is great!
Andrew's team is the cougars. His coaches are really nice. His team is pretty good and win most of the games they play. They practice twice weekly and have 1-2 games weekly.
It was a good season and fun to watch the kids play.

Now that Andrew's 8, he joins cub scouts!

Andrew was so excited to join his wolf pack when he turned 8. The pack is small, but the activities are still fun. Andrea's first activity is making bird houses along with the bears.
